About the Bookoo concept - a gift box for children is completely unique in South Africa. As mums, we realized the value in having something which is versatile and can keep children entertained for long periods whether in the car, on a rainy day or having something new to do during the school holidays. We have put together a wide range of activities to save you precious time running around shopping for fresh ideas.  It is also a wonderful way for you to spend time with your child doing an activity together. Or alternatively, let them explore their own creativity!     

We have grouped the boxes together according to various activities including a cooking box, a reading and activity box and two distinctly different craft boxes to suit a range of interests. Everything is already in the box so no little extras required!

We pride ourselves on using locally suppliers where possible and having minimal packaging. We also support local employment initiatives. Everything in the box is completely suitable for little hands. 

About us - We are two 30-something mums with children who really battled to find things to do in the holidays – especially since it rains almost continually in the Western Cape in winter. Small towns do not usually provide a great range of indoor activities for children! That is when the idea of an activity box began to take shape. After refining the concept and adding lots of summer fun activities we decided it was time to share the concept with other parents. And so Bookoo Box was born…..
